Welcome to Loving God Interspiritual Center’s podcasts: “Thinking Aloud.” This constitutes the primary mainstay of our public outreach efforts and informational service. We are able to present this to you as a result of our contractual agreement with our program content provider: Loving God Interspiritual Ministry, L.L.C.
Loving God Interspiritual Ministry’s programs are hosted by Arthur Hamilton Van Slyke, Jr. who is a retired American educator and counselor. Recently, he has decided to reenter his former educational area of expertise as a motivational speaker and self-help advocate. He has been Ordained as an Interspiritual Minister by three coastal seminaries: One Spirit Interfaith Seminary, New York, New York (2016), Loving God Interspiritual Center, Richmond, Texas (2020) and Emerson Theological Institute, Oakhurst, California (2023).
Van Slyke holds the following credentials: Associate in Arts Degree: Speech Communication, History, Social Science and Psychology (Wharton County Junior College); Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Arts Degrees in Speech: Speech (Rhetoric) and Mexican, Caribbean, Cuban and South American Histories (Southwest Texas State University); Ph.D. Program: Successfully Completed, 2019 {Specialization: Contemporary Emotional-Spiritual Needs Assessment of Spiritual But Not Religious Populations within the United States, Canada and Western Europe} – awarded Doctor of Spiritual Studies and Doctor of Divinity Degrees (Emerson Theological Institute).
Additionally, Van Slyke holds the following Licenses: (Educational) High School: Speech and History; Elementary: History and General Studies; Multi-Level Special Education: (Intellectual Disabilities); Mid-Management Administrator; Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (Retired, 1994); and Certified Trauma Resolution Therapist (Retired, 1994).
Van Slyke’s teaching experiences range from rural, urban and suburban Texas Public Schools; Juvenile Correctional Education at the Texas Youth Commission’s Brownwood State Home and School: Social Studies, Music Education, Adjunct Social Work Counselor-Caseworker; Adult Correctional Education Texas Department of Criminal Justice: Minimum- and Maximum-Security Prison Facilities; Texas Department of Criminal Justice: Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor/ Substance Abuse Treatment Program Counselor and Creator of Mass Media Productions implementing Treatment Curriculum Designs; Orchard Creek Psychiatric Hospital: Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor assigned to treat Chemical Dependency and Adult Psychiatric patients and Wharton County Junior College: Professor of Speech and American History, evening classes, Fort Bend County Campuses (1977-1991).
We feel that Loving God Interspiritual Center Center’s online podcasts as facilitated by veteran educator and communicator, Reverend Dr. Van Slyke, will offer the public-at-large excellent opportunities to hear and assess various whole-person spiritual and Interspiritual concepts. We feel that his presentations will be very interesting, informative and useful to most listeners. Loving God Interspiritual Center hopes to continuously expand its outreach to as many listeners as possible through these and future podcasts.
